Epirus Tsipouro Zoinos has achieved a significant international distinction, winning the silver medal in the spirits category (Award Spirit Silver) with a score of 91/100 at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2026, one of the world’s largest and most highly acclaimed wine and spirits competitions, held in London.
Amidst hundreds of entries from around the world and in a competition with a particularly high level of rivalry, Epirus Tsipouro Zoinos managed to stand out, confirming the quality of a spirit born from the Debina grape variety.
The distinction takes on even greater significance given that 90% of the competition’s judges are active buyers and leading industry executives. This makes every medal a recognition by professionals who shape trends and markets on an international scale.
Epirus Tsipouro Zoinos is produced in Zitsa, Ioannina, at an altitude of up to 700 meters, where the mountainous vineyards meet the sea breezes of the Ionian. It is based on Debina, the emblematic grape variety of the region, which is cultivated in limestone, stony, and sloping soils that contribute to shaping the spirit’s distinctive character.
During the distillation process, the “head” and “tail” are discarded, preserving exclusively the purest and finest part—what the people at Zoinos Winery call “The Soul of Debina.” The result is a tsipouro that perfectly expresses the Epirotic terroir, characterized by aromatic purity, freshness, and elegance.
With an alcohol content of 40%, Epirus Tsipouro Zoinos is available in 50 ml, 100 ml, 200 ml, and 500 ml bottles, catering to spirit tasting, premium cellars, and haute cuisine.
